Dear Friends and Families of Valerie Manor,
As many of you may have heard, Litchfield County and the state overall Covid Positivity Numbers have been showing an increase in our communities…Especially amongst the unvaccinated. That being said, we were notified this morning that one of our residents tested positive for Covid-19. Although the resident was tested in the community and is not in the building currently, in an abundance of caution and per CT Department of Public Health guidelines we will be initiating Covid protocols:
- Outbreak testing protocols for residents and staff have been initiated. During this time, regular indoor visitations, social out trips, and group activities are suspended until the first round of testing is complete. We will notify you when usual visitation can resume.
- Compassionate Care and End of Life visitation is still available maintaining the core principles of Covid-19 infection prevention and proper utilization of Personal protective equipment.
With most of our residents being vaccinated, the State mandated staff vaccinations in process, and outbreak protocols in place, we are working diligently to maintain the safety of our residents and staff at this time. Thank you for your understanding and we will notify you with any changes.
